‘LAND OF THE RISING MIC: A HISTORY OF HIP HOP IN JAPAN’ / SHOOT TO KILL NYC

Alongside director Kellen Dengler, I set out to create Land of the Rising Mic, an episodic docuseries exploring the untold history of hip hop in Japan. Two years in, with hundreds of hours of interviews featuring key cultural figures from Japan and their American counterparts, we remain deep in production as we continue to weave together a powerful new chapter in the global story of hip hop.
